About Us
We study Shotokan Karate which is the original Traditional Japanese Karate. Our Dojo (school) is located at the Community Centre in St. Jones Within, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Shotokan was founded in Japan in 1922 and has since spread worldwide to become one of the most popular martial arts systems in the world. Shotokan has been well represented in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada for many decades. We are affiliated wi the Newfoundland Karate Association (NKA), Karate NL, and the Newfoundland and Labrador Karate Union.

Experience
Our instructors are Kevin Price (1st degree Black Belt) and Janet Price (Blue Belt). We have studied under and are closely associated with Bruce Lee Sensei (6th degree Black Belt). We have studied at Lee Sensei's Mundy Pond Shotokan Karate Dojo for many years and have attended seminars by Tsuruoka Sensei (10th degree Black Belt - National Karate Association of Canada (NKA) - (The International Budo Institute PDF) and Katsumata Sensei (7th degree Black Belt). Lee Sensei also studied under the late Nishiyama Sensei (10th degree Black Belt posthumous - International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF) PDF).
